Cool! STe games are my favorite. Music and Samples at the same time! In stereo! This simple upgrade for all st games to have a ste sound options when the ST as in competition with the Amiga would have gone a long way to keeping the STe a viable platform

il y a un peu moins de quarante a ns, sur les faces cachées de mes disquettes 3" 1/4 je remplissait leurs secteurs de demos sur un Amstrad DDI1 modded avec un trombonne... j'ai bien sur continué sur mon atari 520STE ... très belle démo ces talentueux précurseurs doivent penser quoi d'internet aujourd'hui ? une simple Erreur 403 ...

Pity the author passed away. With some decent level music, which the STE is more than capable of unlike the standard ST, this could have been one of the definitive ports of R-Type.

Technically impressive as always, but not their best. Also, I really don't like cover demos.. Especially not the most overcovered demo in the history of computing.

Super impressed by all the spectrum 512 hacking!

Never really understood how all this spectrum 512 wizardry works. Some screens seem to have partial palette cycling. Some have prerendered animation per scanline. But that probably doesn't cover all of it.

The polyfiller has strange artefacts. Cool demo otherwise.

Ok, how did JMP pull this off? Normally you'd have a very simple parallax background layer. This one seems highly complex.

Great Music! Almost good enough to be an Amiga demo. Pity 2/3rds of the graphics are text and chatter in lieu of effects. Stretching it out that long and the short tune gets really repetitive fast. Good attempt.

Bought a second hand Atari around '91 to do some translations and as I liked some software which could do all kinds of different fonts and accent (was in Germany at the time). Whenever boredom hit, this was a go-to! Very major injection of nostalgia..... Daraufhin ergab sich dessen Volk! There's a load of grammatical points in that sentence too :-)

ST Torvak runs a lot slower than the Amiga version, because it was developed alongside the Amiga version and Core didn't have time to improve it. They wanted to maintain the same screen size on both versions, so felt it was better to sacrifice speed, rather than play area, on the ST version. They felt, given the time scale, they pushed the ST quite a way.
